National Child Awareness Month: Become A Part Of History Today
Festival of Children Foundation is spearheading an effort to have September declared National Child Awareness Month. It is our vision to turn National Child Awareness Month into a month-long public awareness initiative that focuses the attention of the Nation on the issues facing children across America.  This collaborative effort on behalf of over 300 children's charities nationwide will call attention to the needs of children of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Festival of Children Foundation has received significant publicity and recognition from our efforts thus far, some of which includes:

• Local, state, and national recognition of the work that Festival of Children™, our signature program, has accomplished in the community
• Unanimous consent of California State Senate Resolution 609 designating the week of September 24, 2006 as “National Child Awareness Week.
• Unanimous consent of Senate Resolution 48, designating the week of September 17, 2007, as “National Child Awareness Week.
• Introduction of H.Res 1296 asking Congress to declare September National Child Awareness Month

Call or email the Education Staffer at your local Congressperson's office, urging them to co-sponsor H.Res 1296 that will declare September National Child Awareness Month. Visit the U.S. House of Representatives Member Directory to find your local Congressperson's contact information.
