Festival of Children Foundation and Volunteer Center Orange County together present Take the Lead, the 13th annual teen summit to promote volunteerism, develop leadership skills, and increase awareness of social trends at local, state and national levels.
 The largest youth conference of its kind in southern California, the summit will feature dozens of inspirational workshops along with keynote speaker Johnny Schillereff, Founder and President of Element Skateboards. Johnny took his diverse background and applied it towards his passions and unwavering dedication to making a positive difference in the world by creating Element Skateboards.
Be inspired by how this individual pioneered his industry by taking his dreams from concept to creation. And, register before February 13, 2009 to save $5.00 per student on the cost of admission to Take the Lead! Boxed lunches will be provided for all attendees.

WORKSHOPS In addition to hearing the keynote speaker, student attendees will choose to attend two out of over 20 educational and interactive workshops focused on vital issues facing young adults today. Workshop information coming soon!
ADMISSION The cost of admission to Take the Lead 2009 is $20.00 per student, if registered by Friday, February 13, 2009. The cost will increase to $25.00 per student after February 13. There is no charge for accompanying school teachers to attend. You may register now and pay online, or you may register now and pay later, with proof of purchase order.
