What is the mission of Festival of Children Foundation?
Festival of Children Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of children by strengthening the charities that serve them.
Is 100% of your administrative costs covered by committed funding?
Yes. 100% of our administrative costs are covered by committed funding, allowing donations to go further in direct support of programs and services that improve the lives of children.
What does it mean to be a “public charity”?
Festival of Children Foundation is a public charity. This means that we receive contributions from a wide variety of public sources, and actively function in a supporting relationship to hundreds of other nonprofit organizations.
How many member organizations belong to FOCF?
We serve over 480 member charities across the United States who are diverse in mission, thought, geography and size. Yet they all share a common goal - to improve the lives of children. Our members serve approximately 1.8 million children of all ages and backgrounds. To increase collaboration, simplicity and functionality, our member organizations are organized into five categories: Arts & Culture, Environmental Education & Awareness, Education & Development, Health & Wellness, and Social Services.
How much does it cost to apply and belong to FOCF?
Nothing. Membership, along with all programs and services we provide, are available at no cost to eligible children’s charities.
How does my organization become a member?
If your organization is interested in joining our network of children’s charities across the country, please review our qualifications for membership to make sure you meet the criteria. You may apply online, and once received, your application will be screened and you will be notified of your acceptance. Festival of Children Foundation reserves the right to accept or deny membership to any organization as it sees fit.
How does my organization apply for a grant from FOCF?
The Possible Dream is Festival of Children Foundation’s signature grant-making program. The Possible Dream grant-making cycle begins in September of each year. We also offer several grants throughout the year to member organizations on an invitation-only basis, as well as assist member organizations with their own grant research based on a specific need.
How does my organization access your services?
Once you have submitted your online application and requested materials to Festival of Children Foundation, we will notify you of your acceptance pending your eligibility for membership. You will then have immediate access to the programs and services we provide and we will continue to keep you informed of how you can take advantage of these.
How can an individual person help FOCF?
There are so many ways to get involved with Festival of Children Foundation. If you wish to contribute financially, please remember that 100% of your tax-deductible donation will go directly toward improving the lives of children. We accept volunteers on an on-going basis, and have plenty of opportunities for you or your company to assist us, or one of our member groups.
