Where our members come together to collaborate, access resources, share knowledge, and focus their efforts. Where little kids and big thinkers both love to go; the place where dreams are possible.
Festival of Children Foundation shines a spotlight on the most critical issues facing children today and helps our members to better address them by engaging the general public. We amplify and focus the voices of our members, partners and affiliates in order to rise above the noise and make a difference. On a national level, we impact the discussion and the agenda by working to propel children’s issues into the spotlight. On a local level, we create exciting opportunities for the general public to get involved.
National Child Awareness Month
This national program, led by Founder and Executive Director Sandy Daniels and recognized by United States Congress and House of Representatives, is a monthlong effort to raise awareness and focus America's attention on four guiding principles:
•Nurture one child. That’s all it takes to make a difference.
•Children are the future of philanthropy. It’s our responsibility to teach them the importance of sharing and giving back.
•Actions speak louder than words. Find a children’s cause that’s important to you and get involved.
•Many hands make light work. So join forces with those who share your goals and dreams.
Through National Child Awareness Month, our member organizations have the chance to be brought together for a common goal while the program provides a national platform that sparks discussion and debate. Festival of Children
At Festival of Children, our signature monthlong program in September, children's charities are provided a booth at no cost to bring attention to the work they are doing in the community. Over one million people attend Festival of Children each year, primarily in Orange County, CA. The opportunity this program provides for collaboration, network, and recruiting new supporters is invaluable. To learn more about Festival of Children, contact edaniher@festivalofchildren.org.
Volunteer Day
Volunteer Day is a chance for our member organizations looking for volunteers to come together under one roof and recruit the help they need to provide their programs and services to the community. Teens looking to fulfill community service requirements, as well as individuals and families, find the charity that's right for them and sign up to help where they're needed the most.
Communications and Social Media
We highlight our members' successes to the general public through various mediums: print newsletters, our own website, Facebook, Twitter and by word of mouth. Each member organization is listed on our website with a link to their own website, so that the public may be able to find them efficiently.
