For those of us who work to improve the lives of children, our dreams are especially powerful. Our dreams change lives today. And they create a better future.

The Possible Dream™ is an innovative grant-making program from Festival of Children Foundation and The Orange County Register that finds, funds and follows the dreams of children’s charities - from an inspired vision in an Executive Director’s mind to a finished project with tangible results.

For some, this means building a new playground or purchasing new art supplies; acquiring a special piece of technology that will change the life of a single child, or refurbishing a gymnasium that will help a hundred. Some may simply dream of having an extra set of hands around so that deserving kids can get a little extra needed attention.

Charities are invited to submit proposals for tangible, measurable projects or a “Possible Dream” that fulfill their mission and improve the lives of children. A panel of judges comprised of community, business and civic leaders evaluates the submissions, and those organizations whose proposals create the highest impact per dollar are eligible to receive funding to bring their dream to life.

Because greater things are possible when people work together, we encourage members of the charitable community to collaborate. The Possible Dream™ itself is the result of collaboration, made possible thanks to a partnership between Festival of Children Foundation and The Orange County Register. The final number, size and scope of dreams funded depend directly upon the generosity of our sponsors, donors, the readers of The Orange County Register and you.
